Here is a little something about Jinmi
What inspired your love for music?
I grew up around many musical instruments and in a home of talented siblings. That triggered my love for music.
Which musical instruments do you play?
I play everything apart from the drums, though I’m a bit of an amateur with guitars. I’m good with instruments naturally.
Role Model(s)?
I have very few role models, but in the music industry I look up to Davido & Wizkid. I appreciate their heavy impacts on the modern industry.
How has been your experience in BU?
The experience has been a stressful one, each day is a struggle to get to the finish line.
Hobbies?
I love making music & reading books.
Favourite Author?
Ted Dekker!
One of Ted Dekker’s books that you would read over again or recommend to someone?
Red.
How do you combine music & school?
It’s very difficult but I balance it in such a way that none suffers. It means less sleep and more work and no time for play.
Best friend or close group of friends in BU?
Hmmm, I have a lot of friends, no best friends though.
What do you like most about BU?
The friendliness & support of people.
What do you dislike about BU?
The rules. The interest of the school body in seeing students in positions of discomfort & hardship.
What improvement(s) would you like to see in BU?
The cafeteria food needs a quality boost and the rules need to be reviewed. Majority are rather unnecessary.
Do you read BU Gist?
I’ve read it a few times.
What can you say about it?
It’s an amazing and brilliant initiative.
